Email from a friend
Sorry for the lack of blogging this week. No excuses, just haven’t been inspired (or motivated, maybe). Just to brighten your day, I’ll share an email I received from my little one today (she had come to me this morning asking how to spell Christmas — now I know why).
Dear DADDY
What do you want for Christmas
I know what I want for Christmas

I love you

Did she really use three different kinds of smileys? That’s pretty net-savvy of her.

She has Mozilla Thunderbird on her computer, which probably puts her ahead of her Mom and Dad (we still use Outlook). I think Thunderbird may have the smileys in a pretty handy place on the toolbar.
Still, how many seven-year-olds do you know using Thunderbird?

That must make your geeky heart proud.
Lucy, our 2-year-old, is to the point where she can move to the mouse to a specific part of the screen and stop there. I’m already outfitting our pre-Mac x86 machine for her with Ubuntu.
