of Education is up here. I submitted my “Mouth Shut, Laptops Open” post. I appreciate its inclusion in the Carnival.
Speaking of education, Martin Cohn and Henry Mairson at Brandeis University have posted some cool poems on Logic, Proofs, and Theory of Computation. I’m especially fond of the “The Pumping Lemma.” The Pumping Lemma was in desperate need of being set in verse.
I suppose you need to be a theoretician or math prof to appreciate these. I’m just thankful to one of my Theory students for finding these for me (especially when you consider that nothing put fear in the hearts of my students like being told to do a proof using the PL).
